Located in The Zhongshan Building within Kampung Attap’s vibrant creative community, fono is an independent, non-profit, music-centered art space for the culture and community.

Drawing inspiration from Japan’s audiophile listening bars, Jamaica’s sound system culture, the DIY ethos of punk rock, and the experimental edge of underground jazz venues in NYC and London, fono remains distinctly Malaysian at its core.

Powered by warm vintage amplifiers and a combination of modern award-winning speakers and Tannoy Arden’s Coaxial Drivers from the 70s, fono offers an intimate and unique music experience with a focus on curation and not trends.
